SAN DIEGO – Wrapping up the team's fall slate on a foggy San Diego morning, the USD women's rowing team competed at the 2025 San Diego Fall Classic on Mission Bay. 

In total, the Toreros had seven boats in action for Sunday's Fall Classic as USD's Varsity 4+ boat turned in an eighth place finish with a time of 19:07.038, while the Varsity 8+ San Diego crew finished 10th overall posting a final time of 16:49.999. 

"It was a fun finish to our fall season at home," USD head women's rowing coach Katie Thurstin said. "Even with the hour fog delay, it turned out to be a beautiful day to race. It was a great opportunity to race against fast teams and get everyone on the water. We learned a lot in the 8+s and had a solid showing in the 4+s. We had a lot of fun celebrating our novice that completed their first race. We're excited to continue to watch their development over the next couple months."
