SAN DIEGO - San Diego women's basketball will face two more travel tests this week on the road at St. Mary's and Pacific.

Thursday night's matchup at St. Mary's is set to tip at 6:30 p.m. (PT), while Saturday's game will tip off at 2 p.m. (PT).

LAST TIME OUT

Patricia Brossmann and
Myah Pace pulled down 10 rebounds apiece in San Diego's 52-36 loss against BYU.
• Brossmann tacked on two points, and Pace added six points, three assists and three steals on the afternoon.
Jordyn Edwards also helped out with nine points, nine rebounds, four assists and three steals.
• The Toreros out rebounded the Cougars 43-37 in the contest and also cleaned up the offensive glass, turning 19 rebounds into 11 second chance points.
• San Diego was once again efficient on the defensive end of the floor, forcing 21 BYU turnovers. The takeaways turned into 16 points.
• Despite the stellar performances off the glass and on the defensive side of the ball, San Diego's offense struggled to find its rhythm shooting only 18.6 percent from the floor. San Diego faced only a two point deficit at the half, but BYU took advantage of an eight-minute scoring drought in the fourth quarter to secure the win.
• The contest marked the lowest point total by the Toreros since the December 4 loss to Idaho at home.

INSIDE CONFERENCE PLAY
• Through five games in WCC play, the Toreros' defense has shined.
• San Diego is currently forcing 20.6 turnovers per game in WCC contests, compared to averaging 14.8 themselves. This ranks the Toreros first in turnover margin in the conference when facing WCC opponents.
• In addition to forcing takeaways, the Toreros are also ranked first in steals through WCC play with 56 total over five games. Junior guard
Myah Pace has led the way individually with 17 in conference contests.
• On the offensive side of the ball, Pollock and Pace have continued to lead USD. Pollock is averaging 13.6 points per game through five WCC contests and has the second highest field goal percentage at .431.
• Pace ranks second in scoring during conference play averaging 11.4 points per game. The guard also leads San Diego's rebounding efforts with 7.0 per game.
• Senior
Leticia Soares has grown into a larger scoring role for USD as its sixth woman off the bench averaging 8.6 points in conference. Soares scored her first three-pointer of the season against BYU and leads the Toreros in field goal percentage (.462).
• Redshirt junior Edwards has also been a bright spot during conference play leading the team in assists (27) and free throw percentage (1.000).
• The Toreros have outscored WCC opponents in the first and third quarters, but have fallen behind in the second and fourth quarters with opponents outscoring USD 296-276 overall.

ALL-TIME SERIES AGAINST ST. MARY'S
• St. Mary's holds advantage in the all-time series at 48-28. The series goes back to the 1982-83 season as San Diego won the inaugural match up on the road 63-58.
• The Toreros are on a five-game losing streak against the Gaels with the last win coming at home during the 2016-17.

ALL-TIME SERIES AGAINST PACIFIC
• The Toreros own the all-time series against the Tigers at 16-7.
• San Diego will look to break a two-game losing streak in the twenty third meeting between the two teams. USD beat the Tigers at home during the 2017-18 season and have not won on the road since the 2015-16 season.

• This week's contests will mark the end of a three-game road stretch for San Diego. So far this season, the Toreros have been even keeled on the road with a record of 3-3.
• San Diego is averaging more points on the road (63.7) than at home (60.0) and is outscoring opponents in both types of contests.
• The Toreros' largest scoring advantage has come in the first quarter of road contests, where they are outscoring opponents 114-88.
• USD also averaging a better free throw percentage (.709) and rebounds per game (41.8) when met with a road contest. Jenny Craig Pavilion has lent the Toreros a slightly better field goal percentage at .375, than on the road at .360.
