SPOKANE, Wash. — Senior Michayla Herr totaled three shots, including one on goal, but San Diego women's soccer (6-9, 1-5 WCC) dropped a hard-fought 1-0 decision to Gonzaga (12-5, 2-4 WCC) at Luger Field on Saturday afternoon as it continued West Coast Conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Bulldogs struck first, finding the back of the net after just 15 seconds of play when Erin Healy scored with an assist from Kacy Johnston.
• It would be the lone goal of the game despite 22 total shots from Gonzaga and 11 from USD.

TORERO TIDBITS

• Herr had three shots, including one on goal, freshmen Ariana Scholten and Mia Castillo each had one shot on goal, and sophomore Maronne Suzuki, freshman Bella Piete, and sophomore Aryssa Mahrt each had one shot.
• Redshirt junior goalkeeper Judith Sorribes made her second start of the season and recorded six saves, playing 86 of 90 minutes.
