San Diego went 1-1 on its recent road trip, defeating Nevada 75-68 before falling at Cal, 75-70. At Cal,
Jase Townsend led the Toreros with 16 points, drilling all three attempts from beyond the arc.
Joey Calcaterra added 15 points on three triples.
Terrell Brown-Soares registered a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds, in addition to five blocks.
Bryce Monroe went into double-figures for the first time this season, ending with 10 points, four rebounds, and three assists.
SCOUTING THE HIGHLANDERS
UC Riverside has won two straight games, including a buzzer-beater from beyond half court at Arizona State last Thursday. Junior guard Flynn Cameron leads the team with 11.0 points per game, including six triples at ASU. Senior forward J.P. Moorman is averaging 10.0 points and 8.0 rebounds through three games. UCR has scored 63.7 points per game while allowing 61.7.
