SAN DIEGO—The Toreros beat UC Irvine 75-64 at the Bren Events Center on Saturday, December 11, 2021. This is San Diego's seventh win of the season and third consecutive win on the road. The Toreros played tenaciously on defense with 40 rebounds, 12 steals, and three blocks. On offense, San Diego had 15 assists and three players scored in double digits. Gorman made four three-pointers tonight for a total of 16 points as tonight's leading scorer. Tonight marks 100 total points for Goman just nine games into the season. The shooting powerhouse has averaged 12.5 points per game, made 20 three-pointers shooting 44% at three-point line, and tallied 30 assists so far this season. Gorman leads the Toreros in average points per game, made three-point shots, and assists in the 2021-22 season.
