LAST TIME OUT
Led by four in double-figures and 20 made free throws, San Diego (8-7, 1-1 WCC) earned its first WCC win of the season at Pepperdine (6-11, 0-2 WCC), 72-62. Senior forward Marcellus Earlington led the Toreros with 16 points to go along with eight rebounds. Redshirt senior guard Joey Calcaterra added 12 points, six rebounds, and five assists in the win. Graduate center Terrell Brown-Soares notched 10 points and 10 rebounds for the second consecutive contest.
 
SCOUTING THE PILOTS
Portland had its first three WCC contests postponed after going 9-6 in non-conference play. Four players are averaging double-figures including sophomore guard Tyler Robertson (15.6), redshirt sophomore guard Chris Austin (14.7), redshirt sophomore forward Moses Wood (13.7), and redshirt sophomore guard Mike Meadows (10.9). The Pilots rank second in the NCAA in free throw percentage (81.4).
