LAST TIME OUT
After trailing by as many as 17, San Diego mounted a thrilling comeback to defeat Portland in overtime, 68-63.
Marcellus Earlington led the Toreros with 21 points and 10 rebounds.
Wayne McKinney III compiled 14 points, a career-high eight rebounds, and three steals in the win.
Yavuz Gultekin notched his second double-double of the season, ending with 12 points and 10 rebounds. He grabbed six offensive rebounds, including three in the overtime period.
SCOUTING THE LIONS
After going 6-6 in non-conference play, LMU dropped its WCC opener at San Francisco on Thursday, 97-73. Fifth year forward Eli Scott leads the team with 16.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. Three others are averaging double-figures, including Joe Quintana (14.1 PPG), Dameane Douglas (11.5 PPG), and Jalin Anderson (10.5 PPG in two games played). Quintana ranks third in the NCAA in free throw percentage (95.1).
