  • With the first half winding down, Clausen played a ball ahead to Bahena, who sent a pass across the six to Pena for the 2-1 lead.
  • Tunbridge played a long ball to Bahena inside the 18 in the 54th minute, and the freshman placed the ball inside the far post with his right foot after a dazzling move on the defender.
  • In the 74th minute, USD was called for a hand ball in the box. Santa Clara barely snuck in the penalty kick, cutting its deficit to 3-2.
