  • Just 1:24 later, Foster sent a left-footed laser inside the near post from 25 yards out to make it 2-0.
  • San Diego extended its lead in the 24th minute, as Bahena gathered a long ball from Johnstone, dribbled down the right side, and played it inside the box to Churness. The San Diego native made a quick move to his right, and placed it inside the far post with his right foot.
  • USD held Portland without a shot on goal in the first half, and led 3-0 after the first 45.
  • Portland cut the deficit in the 62nd minute, sending a ball off the inside of the far post to make it 3-1.
  • Portland was given a red card in the 70th minute after a hard tackle.
  • Clausen dribbled through the middle of the field in the 74th minute, and played a ball ahead to Wiebe inside the box. Wiebe made a move around a defender, and sent a rocket that found the top of the net to extend USD's lead to 4-1.
