SAN DIEGO – The San Diego women's basketball program (3-2, 0-0 WCC) returns home to host its annual thanksgiving tournament, welcoming three teams to the Jenny Craig Pavilion for The Dana on Mission Bay Thanksgiving Classic.
The Toreros will play Idaho State (2-3, 0-0 Big Sky) on Friday at 2 p.m., while hosting No. 15 Arizona (4-0, 0-0 PAC-12) on Saturday at 4 p.m. California Baptist (2-2, 0-0 WAC) will also be in town to face Arizona and Idaho State.

LAST TIME OUT
- San Diego played in two games at the Bank of Hawai'i Classic in Manoa, Hawai'I, defeating Lipscomb in the opener and dropping a tight game to Florida Gulf Coast in the finale.
- Myah Pace continued to shine throughout the weekend, including in a 16-point performance against FGCU.
- Kiera Oakry added 12 points in the last matchup against FGCU, while Kylie Horstmeyer had 10 in the loss.
OPPONENT HISTORY
- The Toreros are 1-0 all-time against the Bengals, winning the lone matchup, 79-53, back in 1986.
- San Diego is 3-10 all-time against the Wildcats, falling in the most recent meeting, 76-59, in Tucson, Ariz.
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
- Pace has made steady progress in each game back from injury this season, with three performances in double digits, most recently going for 16 points against FGCU.
- San Diego is off to a tremendous start on the glass, recording their most rebounds in a single game since 2020 in the win over Biola.
- The team followed that up by out-rebounding every team this season and hold one of the top rebounding margins in the nation.
- The Toreros continue to turn defense into offense, as they lead the WCC in scoring defense at 53.0.
- The Toreros also lead the WCC in blocks per game (3.6) and fouls given per game (13.6), showing tremendous discipline on the defensive end.
- Jess Finney has emerged as a three-point shooting threat, going 38.5% from distance to lead the team. Finney had a career weekend in Hawai'I with 16 points across two games.
TORERO TIDBITS
- Amanda Olinger ranks second in the WCC in blocks (6) and fourth in blocks per game (1.20).
- The Toreros will host their first ranked opponent in the Jenny Craig Pavilion since facing No. 16 Gonzaga on Feb. 20, 2021.
- Pace is closing in on several milestones in her highly successful Torero career, sitting just 97 points away from 1,000 and 21 rebounds away from 500 in her collegiate career.
- In addition, Pace ranks fifth all-time in career steals with 209 and is 12 away from tying Amy Kame for fourth place.
