LOS ANGELES — San Diego swimming and diving continued competition at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships yesterday in day two of the four-day event. USD finished the day alone in seventh place with 84 total points.

Jayne Brandt got things started for the Toreros in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay Final, recording a time of 1:34.20 that was good for fifth place and 20 points.

Haley Ohlson placed 32nd in the 500 Yard Freestyle Preliminary with a time of 5:17.61, with sophomore
Mia Griffiths and freshman
Shelby Nicolaisen behind her with times of 5:14.70 and 5:26.91, respectively.
Sophomore
Hannah Hintermeister recorded a time of 2:08.80 in the 200 Yard IM Preliminary, with junior
Callie Johnson behind at 2:12.41, junior
Elena Elie at 2:12.70, and sophomore
Elsie Harrison at 2:15.88.
Junior
Rachel Hubka placed 14th in the 50-Yard Freestyle Final with a time of 23.79, which was good for three points, followed by sophomore
Jayne Brandt at 19th (23.89) and senior
Alexa Phillips at 24th (24.10).
On the diving side, freshman
Jane Riehs finished 10th in the Three Meter Dive with a score of 268.60, good for seven points.
