SAN DIEGO — Returning to their home pool for the second straight Friday afternoon, the San Diego swimming and diving team competed against San Diego State in the program's second meet of the new season.
23 total San Diego swimmers raced across eight different events during Friday's distance competition as the Toreros received a strong performance from their 200 medley race quartet of Penelope Leonard, Elise Sullivan, Ava Delaney and Alison Diehl turned in a third place finish.
Diehl also had a strong performance competing individually as she came in fourth place in the 150 yard butterfly with a time of 1:33.13. Sydney Wilson put together another strong performance in her second Torero meet as she came in fourth place in the 150 yard backstroke by posting a time of 1:34.06.

USD swimming and diving will now head north for their first road meet as they will be in Malibu for the Pepperdine Invite on Saturday, October 4 beginning at 10:00 a.m from Raleigh Runnels Memorial Pool.
