STOCKTON, CA – Led by a two-run home run from
Alexia Torculas and four shutout innings from
Courtney Rose, the University of San Diego softball team defeated Pacific on Friday, 6-3.

USD has no won three straight WCC games, improving its conference record to 3-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- San Diego took the lead in the top of the second with two runs. Ashley Daugherty drew a lead-off walk, and Sofia Delgado was hit by a pitch during the next at bat. Izzy Owen later brought Daugherty home with an RBI single and Delgado scored on a throwing error.
- Rose retired the first two batters in the first, second, third, and fourth innings.
- USD broke the game open in the top of the sixth with four more runs. AJ Kaiser led off with a single, and Daugherty sent her to third with a double. Delgado then singled through the left side to make it 3-0.
- Limon registered an RBI groundout to score Daugherty, and Torculas launched a two-run homer run to right center to extend the lead to 6-0.
- The Tigers made it interesting with three runs in the bottom of the seventh, but Madison Earnshaw escaped with back-to-back groundouts.

- Rose earned the win and improves her record to 6-10 on the season. She allowed just four hits and no runs to lower her ERA to 3.24.
- Torculas launched her third home run of the season. She leads the team with a .309 batting average.
- Owen is up to eight RBI in 24 games.
- Delgado notched her 10th RBI of the year.
- Limon has started all 43 games.
- Daugherty scored two runs and hit her third double of the season.
- San Diego struck out just three times.
