RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The San Diego cross country program completed action on Saturday morning at the Ags Ops Course in the Highlander Classic, hosted by UC Riverside.

The women's team took 16th place overall, while the men's side finished 24th overall.

HOW IT HAPPENED
	- The morning opened with the men's race, as the Toreros paced themselves early before attacking late.

	- Russell Gokemeijer sat in 193rd in the competitive field through the first 2K, but surged up the leaderboard and ultimately took 106th overall.

	- Shortly thereafter, the women's side took the course.

	- Fresh off being named the WCC Runner of the Week, Daniella Hubble led the way for the Toreros once again.

	- Hubble followed a similar path, surging from 93rd through the first split to 64th overall in the end.

	- Much like last week, Aryam Jaimes and Gianna Sbarbaro were not far behind, earning top-100 finishes.

TORERO TIDBITS
	- Freshman Allison Kirby made her Torero debut, clocking in at 25:36.1.

	- Lilly Dow, Zoey Delgado and Maddie Holt set new PR's on the course, with Dow shaving nearly a minute and a half off her first 6K race at LMU in her collegiate debut.

The Toreros are set to prepare for the postseason, beginning with the WCC Championship, on Oct. 28 in Malibu, Calif.
