CARMEL, Calif. — Senior Andi Xu led San Diego golf for a fourth consecutive tournament, but the Toreros finished 14th of 15 teams on Tuesday evening as they concluded their Fall 2023 slate at the Cal Poly Invitational at The Preserve Golf Club (Par 72, 7,138/7,034 yards).

USD totaled 874 strokes across all three rounds (303, 285, 286), placing the team 10 over par.

Xu carded rounds of 76, 67, and 70 for a team-best total of 213 strokes that were three under par and had him tied for 21st place.

He was followed by graduate student Craig Ronne and junior Carson Enright, who were both tied for 38th place with two-over 218s. Ronne posted totals of 76, 69, and 73, while Enright shot 75, 74, and 69.

Freshman Ryan Abuan was next at T-71, which he achieved by recording a nine-over 225 after rounds of 76, 75, and 74 strokes.

Sophomore Ryan Plodkowski and freshman Trevor Karber rounded out the Toreros' Tuesday results with a tie for 82nd place, totaling 237 strokes apiece to finish 21 over par. Plodkowski did so with rounds of 81, 76, and 80, while Karber — who competed as an individual in his college debut this week — carded an 81, 78, and 78.

The Cal Poly Invitational marks the final event on the Toreros' Fall 2023 schedule. They will resume their pursuit of a West Coast Conference championship and NCAA Tournament berth next Spring.
