IRVINE, Calif. — After taking two of three at Gonzaga in decisive fashion over the weekend, San Diego baseball (14-15-1, 7-5 WCC) will conclude a five-game road stretch on Tuesday with a trip to UC Irvine, taking on the Anteaters (18-10, 5-7 Big West) at Anteater Ballpark for the second of three midweek matchups between the two teams this year.
LAST TIME OUT
• The Toreros took home a dominant series win against Gonzaga at the Patterson Baseball Complex last weekend, bookending a 3-2 loss on Friday with an 8-1 win on Thursday and a 9-3 win on Saturday.
• San Diego's successful series in Spokane ended a streak of 12 consecutive West Coast Conference series victories by Gonzaga, dealing the Bulldogs their first losing WCC set since the Toreros took two of three from them in May of 2021.
