Men’s Soccer Drops Game at Cal State Fullerton

FULLERTON, Calif. – The San Diego men's soccer program (6-3-1, 0-0-0 WCC) allowed two late goals and dropped a 2-0 decision at Cal State Fullerton (6-2-2, 0-0-0 Big West) on Sunday night at Titan Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Both sides earned limited chances throughout the first half, with Donovan Parisian notching three saves in the opening period.
  • The Toreros registered their lone shot on goal in the first half, off the feet of Rhys Gourdie, but were held to just four shots in total during the frame.
  • Chances remained limited for both sides throughout the game, as each side searched for an answer.
  • Some pressure in the box by the Toreros in the second half gave Vicente Ayala chance, but his shot went high in the 69th minute.
  • The Titans were finally able to strike for a goal in the 74th minute, before recording another less than two minutes later.
  • That proved to be enough for the Titans, who allowed only one shot the remainder of the evening.
