SAN DIEGO – San Diego volleyball (12-7, 7-2 WCC) returns home on a four-game win streak heading into this weekend's competitions against Santa Clara (7-11, 3-6 WCC) and LMU (16-4, 8-1 WCC) at the Jenny Craig Pavilion.
The matchup against the Broncos will begin on Thursday at 7 p.m., followed by a clash with the Lions on Saturday at 12 p.m. Both of USD's matches this week will be streamed live on ESPN+ with Braden Surprenant on the calls, and live statistics will be available on USDToreros.com.
LAST TIME OUT - ERLAND LEADS TOREROS IN SWEEP AT SAINT MARY'S
• San Diego finished its weekend on the road in style with a triumphant 3-0 sweep (25-13, 25-18, 25-20) versus Saint Mary's in Moraga last Saturday afternoon.
• The Gaels had no answer for their former teammate,
Kristen Erland, as she tallied up a match-high and season-high 10 kills while hitting .714. Erland's dominant offensive efforts were accompanied by the Toreros' staunch defense, with
Haylee Stoner matching Erland's four total blocks and
Madi Allen's match-high 14 digs.
ALL-TIME SERIES VS SANTA CLARA
• The Toreros are 47-32 against the Broncos all-time, with the two programs' last meeting coming last November, when USD swept SCU at the Jenny Craig Pavilion.
• The Toreros enter Thursday's match on an 18-game win streak against the Broncos that dates back to September of 2015.
• The Toreros have swept the Broncos a total of 23 times since their first meeting in 1983.
ALL-TIME SERIES VS LMU
• The Toreros are 49-43 against the Lions all-time, with the two programs' last meeting coming earlier this month when USD fell to LMU 3-2 (25-22, 21-25, 14-25, 25-20, 13-15) in Los Angeles.

Kylie Munday notched her eighth double-double of her young collegiate career with 39 assists and 10 digs.
• The Toreros' last victory over the Lions came in November of 2022 when then-ranked No. 2 USD beat LMU 3-2 in Los Angeles to extend their WCC win streak to 16 enroute to a perfect 18-0 record in conference play.
KYLIE MUNDAY NAMED WCC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
• San Diego volleyball setter
Kylie Munday has been named the Credit Union 1 WCC Freshman of the Week for October 28, 2024, the West Coast Conference announced on Monday afternoon.
• Munday helped lead USD to an undefeated week as it traveled to Stockton and Moraga, tallying 55 assists (9.17 per set), 15 digs, six kills, and three service aces while USD beat Pacific and Saint Mary's on the road.
• She started her week with 28 assists, seven digs, a service ace, and a kill on Thursday night as the Toreros prevailed in straight sets against the Tigers. Munday later helped her team sweep the Gaels on Saturday, amassing another 27 assists, five kills, two service aces and a block assist.
• Monday's recognition marks the first weekly conference award of Munday's college career. She is the fourth Torero to be named the Credit Union 1 WCC Freshman of the Week in 2024 after opposite
Kennedy Osunsanmi was recognized three times earlier this season (including last week). In total, San Diego has earned six WCC weekly honors this year.
HAMMERED BY HAYLEE

Haylee Stoner currently leads the WCC and ranks 23rd in the NCAA with her .399 hitting percentage.
• She earned her career-best single-game hitting percentage (.778) on October 3rd versus Oregon State and has recorded five games this season hitting .600 or higher.
