Isabel Clark Notches Double-Double as USD Sweeps Oregon State

Toreros beats Beavers 3-0 on Saturday afternoon to conclude Alumni Weekend at the Jenny Craig Pavilion

SAN DIEGO — Isabel Clark and Nemo Beach both totaled 13 kills on Saturday afternoon, leading San Diego volleyball (8-6, 3-1 WCC) to a dominant 3-0 win over Oregon State (3-10, 1-2 WCC) as Alumni Weekend concluded at the Jenny Craig Pavilion.

Their efforts were bolstered by eight kills from Kennedy Osunsanmi and another seven from Haylee Stoner, who continued her efficient ways by hitting an absurd .778 as the Toreros beat the Beavers 25-21, 25-12, and 25-22.

USD didn't trail in either of the first two frames, and erased a five-point deficit late in the third set to secure its fifth sweep of 2024. San Diego nearly held OSU to single digits in set two, holding a 23-9 lead before the Beavers scored a trio of points down the stretch.

Freshman setter Kylie Munday continued to shine, racking up 38 assists as she finished a dig shy of the eighth double-double of her young college career.

Clark helped headline the defense, recording a match-high 12 digs to notch a double-double of her own that complemented a team-high four block assists (and seven kills) from Kristen Erland.

NOTABLE:
  • Sophomore setter Tatum Lane appeared in Saturday afternoon's sweep and contributed six digs, which marked the first of her college career. Lane had previously played in just one match for USD (September 8 vs. UC Santa Barbara).
  • San Diego out-hit Oregon State .346 to .191.
  • Olivia Bennett and Kristen Erland each had one service ace.
  • Members of USD's 2004 Sweet 16 team were recognized between sets two and three.
