LOS ANGELES – San Diego volleyball (8-6, 3-1 WCC) is set to resume West Coast Conference play on the road this week with a matchup against LMU (11-4, 3-1 WCC) at the Gersten Pavilion in Los Angeles.

USD's game at LMU on Thursday night will begin at 6:00 p.m.

A live stream will be available on  ESPN+ alongside live statistics on LMULions.com.

LAST TIME OUT
Isabel Clark and Nemo Beach both totaled 13 kills last Saturday afternoon, leading San Diego volleyball to a dominant 3-0 win over Oregon State as Alumni Weekend concluded at the Jenny Craig Pavilion.

Their efforts were bolstered by eight kills from Kennedy Osunsanmi and another seven from Haylee Stoner, who continued her efficient ways by hitting an absurd .778 as the Toreros beat the Beavers 25-21, 25-12, and 25-22.

USD didn't trail in either of the first two frames, and erased a five-point deficit late in the third set to secure its fifth sweep of 2024. San Diego nearly held OSU to single digits in set two, holding a 23-9 lead before the Beavers scored a trio of points down the stretch.

Freshman setter Kylie Munday continued to shine, racking up 38 assists as she finished a dig shy of the eighth double-double of her young college career.

Clark helped headline the defense, recording a match-high 12 digs to notch a double-double of her own that complemented a team-high four block assists (and seven kills) from Kristen Erland.

ALL-TIME SERIES VS LMU
The Toreros are 49-42 against the Lions all-time, with the two programs' last meeting coming last October when LMU beat USD 3-1 in San Diego.

The Toreros' last victory over the Lions came in November of 2022 when then-ranked No. 2 USD beat LMU 3-2 in Los Angeles to extend their WCC win streak to 16 enroute to a perfect 18-0 record in conference play.

TORERO TRUE FRESHMEN SHINE IN THE WCC
Kylie Munday, Setter
Munday continues to lead the Torero offense with precision as WCC play progresses, averaging 9.25 assists/set.

She ranks fourth in assists/set in the WCC and leads all true freshmen in the WCC in this category.

She notched her seventh career double-double (37 assists, 18 digs) versus Pacific last Thursday evening. Her 18 digs in this match marked her third game totaling 15 or more digs.

Her 472 assists on the season entering Thursday night's game leave her only 28 away from reaching the 500-assist milestone.

Isabel Clark, Outside Hitter
Clark was instrumental in the Torero's win over Oregon State last Saturday, recording 13 kills, 12 digs, two service aces, and two assists.

She earned her third career double-double with her performance against the Beavers.

Her 15 kills versus Pacific on October 3 set a new career high in this category.

Kennedy Osunsanmi, Opposite
Osunsanmi leads all Toreros in total kills with 159 on the season.

Additionally, she is third in total blocks, third in total service aces, and fifth in total digs out of all Toreros.

Her .300 hitting percentage versus Oregon State on October 5 marked her fifth game hitting .300 or higher this season.

HAMMERED BY HAYLEE
Senior middle blocker Haylee Stoner currently ranks second in hitting percentage in the WCC with a .393 average.

She set a new career-best in single-game hitting percentage (.778) on October 3 versus Pacific, which marked her fifth game hitting .600 or higher this season.

Her 448 kills at USD leave her 52 away from 500 in her career.

JENNIFER PETRIE REACHES 500-WIN MILESTONE IN SPOKANE
USD head coach Jennifer Petrie earned her 500th career win with USD's 3-0 sweep at Gonzaga on September 26.

Petrie is one of just 18 active NCAA Division I volleyball head coaches with 500 wins or more and is just the third head coach of any USD program to reach 500 wins.

She is also the 17th-winningest active D1 head volleyball coach by percentage (.738).

Of that 17-coach group, Petrie has the eighth-most career wins.

Overall, she is the 29th-winningest active D1 WVB coach by total victories.

The only other USD head coaches to reach the 500-win milestone are former baseball skippers John Cunningham (843-839-18) and Rich Hill (1079-738-4).
