SAN DIEGO – The No. 15 San Diego men's tennis program (8-1, 1-0 WCC) improved to 5-1 against the PAC-12 this season, rolling past No. 41 Oregon (10-3, 0-0 PAC-12) on Sunday afternoon at the Hogan Tennis Center.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• After a tight doubles point on Friday against Cal Poly, the Toreros came out with more energy in doubles on Sunday.
• Stian Klaassen and Oliver Tarvet jumped out to an early break, while Oregon led on court one.
• Savriyan Danilov and Lambert Ruland would be the next to jump ahead and ultimately secure the opening match, while Sacchitt Sharrma and Iiro Vasa rallied from 5-2 down to lead 6-5 at the conclusion of the doubles point.
• In singles, the Toreros proved just as energetic, taking all six opening sets.
• Tarvet shined on court one, cruising to a 6-1 first set win over his ranked opponent, while Vasa was right behind him on court three with a 6-2 opening set.
• Danilov fought through an even first set and rolled in his second set, 6-0, to put San Diego up 2-0.
• Tarvet was close behind to make it 3-0, but Oregon began to push back, securing the second set on court six and forcing Vasa into a tiebreaker.
• Ruland stopped the Ducks momentum with a critical break point at 4-4 in the second set and successfully served out the match for a 6-4, 6-4 win, which ended the match in favor of the Toreros.

• The Toreros will face another PAC-12 opponent, hosting No. 34 Stanford on Thursday at 1 p.m., at the Hogan Tennis Center.
