SAN DIEGO – The San Diego softball program (6-18, 0-0 WCC) fell in a pair of games on Saturday evening, falling to Nevada (17-6, 0-0 MWC), 8-0 in game one and 8-5 to Fresno State (16-5, 0-0 MWC) in game two at the Margie Wright Diamond.

HOW IT HAPPENED – NEVADA 8, SAN DIEGO (F/6)
- Saturday's opener started out evenly, as both sides got through a pair of clean innings.
- However, Nevada would strike first for three runs in the third inning after loading the bases with no one out.
- San Diego nearly had a response in the third, as Carly Ruiz and Michelle Delgado notched singles and both got into scoring position with one out.
- However, both runners would end up being stranded and that kept the game at 3-0.
- Nevada added four more runs in the fifth inning and another in the sixth inning.
- San Diego would manage just one hit over the final two innings as Nevada emerged with the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED – FRESNO STATE 8, SAN DIEGO 5
- While game one started slowly, the Toreros were the first on the board against the Bulldogs.
- Taylor Johnson and Delgado delivered back-to-back singles and Johnson would come home on an error to make it 1-0.
- However, Fresno State tallied four runs in the bottom half of the frame to take the lead.
- San Diego started to rally in the third inning, as Tele Jennings reached on an error before Johnson and Delgado drew walks to load the bases.
- Needing a spark, Joecellia Roberts delivered with a two run double over the head of the centerfielder to make it 4-3.
- The bases would be reloaded after an Amanda Limon walk, but the Toreros could not tack on more runs.
- The Toreros had another opportunity in the fourth inning as Mikalyn Emanuelli reached on an error and Johnson singled, but both were left on the base paths.
- Fresno State increased their lead in the fifth inning with three more runs, but the Toreros would not go away.
- The Toreros would cut the deficit further in the sixth inning, as Emanuelli singled and stole second, before Johnson walked.
- Delgado was next up and delivered an RBI single to make it 7-4.
- Roberts cut the lead to 7-5 with an RBI single, but Delgado was caught between third base and home on the play and the inning ended.
- Fresno State added an additional run in the sixth inning to polish off a win.

TORERO TIDBITS
- With four strikeouts against Fresno State, Courtney Rose (285) passed Delaney Heller (284) for seventh on the Toreros all-time strikeout list. Next up is Colleen Norman (311) in sixth.
- Delgado increased her on-base streak to eight consecutive games.
