PAUMA VALLEY, Calif. — San Diego golf on Tuesday afternoon showed their second-day strength on the course finishing 2nd of 15 teams in the Pauma Valley Invitational at Pauma Valley Country Club. The Toreros recorded rounds of 279, 283, and 277 for a total of 839 strokes that were 13 under par.
USD was led for the second consecutive tournament by graduate student Craig Ronne, who finished second with an 8-under 205 (66, 71, 68).
Junior Carson Enright was next at T-12, carding rounds of 74, 69, and 68 for a two-under 211.
Senior Andi Xu finished tied for 17th (-1, 70, 72, 70, 212), followed by senior Kelvin Si at T-32 (+1, 72, 71, 71, 214), and freshman Ryan Abuan at T-58 (+8, 71, 76, 74, 221).
The Toreros are back in action on Thursday, March 28, when they begin play in The Goodwin at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco, California.
