USD Golf Finishes Tied for Fifth After the First Round of NCAA Regional

Three upperclassman lead the toreros tied at thirteenth

RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. San Diego golf is tied for fifth place after the first round of the NCAA Rancho Santa Fe Regional at The Farms Golf Club on Monday afternoon. 

The Toreros combined for a first round of 285 strokes that was five under par. 

USD was led by three upperclassmen who all tied for thirteenth. Senior Andi Xu, graduate student Craig Ronne, and senior Kelvin Si recorded rounds of 71, each finishing one over par. 

Junior Carson Enright followed close behind at T-26 (+2, 72) as well as freshman Ryan Abuan at T-31 (+3, 73). 

The Toreros will continue play tomorrow morning, May 14, at 8:30 A.M. PST in round two of the NCAA Rancho Santa Fe Regional.
