SAN DIEGO – Head coach
Cindy Fisher and the San Diego women's basketball program have added another talented newcomer to their incoming class, as they've inked
Lilly Amor as an incoming freshman for the 2024-25 season.
"Lilly is a very talented and versatile guard," said Fisher. "Her ability to play every position on the perimeter will give her an opportunity to contribute immediately. She is a deep range shooter that will be able to help open the floor for us. Lilly also has great length that will make her a tremendous defender. We are so excited to welcome Lilly to our Torero family."
Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, Amor shined as a versatile guard at both her high school of Templestowe College and in her club career with the Eltham Wildcats (NBL 1). Amor most recently averaged 14.0 points per game, 5.0 rebounds per game, 4.0 assists per game and 3.0 steals per game for Youth League Women in 2023, ranking in the top-10 in the league in points, assists and three-pointers.
A two-time All Star 5 award winner, Amor helped Templetowe win the under-19 3x3 championship in 2022 and the under-20, champion school of Victoria to become state champions.
Amor has been an active member of her state of Victoria's high-performance program and was named to the U20 Victorian team in 2023. In addition, Amor was a part of the undefeated U18 Bulleen Boomers squad through regular season in 2022 that won the U18's National Junior Classic Championship 2022. In addition, Amor represented Victoria for the U18 Victorian Team, at the School Sport Australia Championship and made 'All-Australian' team of the tournament.
A gifted student, Amor earned the highest academic score of her graduating class at Templestowe College in VCE health and human development.
