Women’s Basketball Inks Truitt Reilly as Transfer

SAN DIEGO – Head coach Cindy Fisher and the San Diego women's basketball program have made another splash on the transfer portal, signing forward Truitt Reilly as a transfer for the 2024-25 season.

"We are thrilled to add Tru to our roster," said Fisher. "Tru is a very versatile post who can guard inside and out. Her ability to rebound at a high level is going to have an immediate impact on our transition game. We love Tru's leadership qualities, and she is coming to us from a very successful team who made an amazing postseason run."

Reilly joins the Toreros after spending last season at Cal State San Marcos, where she helped the program reach the final four of the NCAA Division II Tournament. Reilly was a key player for the Cougars, as she tallied a double-double in the national semifinal against Minnesota State. Prior to her time at Cal State San Marcos, Reilly played two seasons at Division II Western Washington. Reilly is no stranger to NCAA Tournaments, having competed in the Division II tournament in all three of her collegiate seasons, including playing in the national title game with Western Washington as freshman.

A native of Silverton, Ore., Reilly was a critical member of the Cougars front court, playing in all 34 games last season, where she scored 148 points and pulled down 217 rebounds. Reilly shined on the biggest stages, as she also pulled down 10 rebounds in the Cougars win over No. 1 seeded Gannon to reach the national semifinal. Over her entire collegiate career, Reilly has tallied 431 points, 490 rebounds and 74 blocks, while tallying six double-doubles.

Reilly hails from a highly athletic family, as her sister Savannah is a high jumper on the track & field team at Oregon State, while her other sister Rowan plays volleyball at Linn Benton Community College. Her mother, Jennifer, was a basketball player at Western Oregon, while her father, Jeff, was a high jumper at Lane Community College.

In addition, Reilly has stood out in the classroom, as she was named to the 2023 GNAC All-Academic Team and was a national honor society student in high school.

Reilly joins incoming freshmen Lilly Amor, Erica Carr, Dresha Moore and Eva Ruse, as well as transfer Paris Santacaterina as new Toreros for the 2024-25 season.
