USD Men's Basketball Reveals Full 2024-2025 Schedule

Toreros set to open season on November 6 against Rider at Jenny Craig Pavilion

SAN DIEGO – San Diego Men's Basketball on Wednesday evening announced its full 2024-25 schedule, a 31-game regular-season slate that features 18 contests in the home comforts of the Jenny Craig Pavilion. 

Season tickets for the Toreros' upcoming campaign are on sale now. Single-game tickets will be made available for purchase at a later date. 

Before the 2024-2025 season officially commences, head coach Steve Lavin's crew will host Sonoma State in a ticketed exhibition on Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. at the Jenny Craig Pavilion.

On Wednesday, Nov. 6, the 2024-25 season will tip off with the first of seven consecutive home games to start the new campaign: a matchup with Rider at 8 p.m..

Two days later, USD will host Boston University on Nov. 8. On Nov. 12 San Diego welcomes Portland State and on Nov. 16, Idaho State.

Southern Utah (Nov. 22) and Idaho (Nov. 24) will come to America's Finest City in November for a multi-team event. The Torero homestand concludes on Thanksgiving Eve with a matchup against Marian (Wisc.) on Nov. 27.


San Diego hits the road for the first time with a trip to Arizona State on Dec. 3. The Toreros defeated the Sun Devils 89-84 in a statement win last season on Dec. 9 at the Jenny Craig Pavilion. 

On Saturday, Dec. 7 the Toreros will travel 20 minutes up I-8 to face crosstown-rival San Diego State at Viejas Arena. 

The Toreros return to the JCP on Dec. 10 to face Long Beach State. On Dec. 14 USD is on the road at Fresno State before coming back to America's Most Beautiful Campus to host UC San Diego on Saturday, Dec. 21.

On Saturday, Dec. 8, San Diego wraps up non-conference play with a neutral-site matchup with Grand Canyon in the newly-constructed, 18,000-seat Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif. for the West Coast Hoops Showcase.

USD's 18-game West Coast Conference calendar features two matchups with each conference team, with the exception of St. Mary's and Gonzaga. It begins with a pair of home matchups: against Pacific on Dec. 30 and opposite Santa Clara with the turn of the new year on Jan. 2.

Two days later the Toreros travel to Corvallis, Ore. to face the Oregon State Beavers as a member of the WCC for the first time. San Diego continues further north to Spokane, Wash. to face Gonzaga for the only time during the regular season on Jan. 4. 

USD returns home to play host to another pair of games at the JCP: the lone matchup with St. Mary's on Jan. 11 prior to taking on Washington State on Jan. 16.

The Toreros will then hit the road for a three-game road stint: at LMU on Jan. 18, Portland on Jan. 23 and San Francisco on Jan. 25. San Diego comes back to welcome Pepperdine on Jan. 30 and a second run-in with LMU on Feb. 1. 

A three-game California road trip awaits thereafter, playing at Pacific on Feb. 6, Santa Clara on Feb. 8 and Pepperdine on Feb. 13. 

San Diego will then host San Francisco on Feb. 15 and Oregon State on Feb. 22 at the Jenny Craig Pavilion. The Toreros hit the road for the final time in the regular season for a matchup at Washington State on Feb.27. The ultimate matchup of the regular season is at home against Portland on March 1. 

The 2025 Credit Union 1 WCC Basketball Championship will take place from March 6-11 in Las Vegas, Nev.
