Toreros Complete Dual Meet at San Diego State

USD drops 71-43 decision to Aztecs on Saturday afternoon at Aztec Aquaplex

SAN DIEGO – San Diego swimming and diving fell to crosstown rival San Diego State in a dual meet at the Aztec Aquaplex on Friday afternoon, 71-43.

Freshman Alexandra Ostrom headlined the Toreros' efforts with a first-place finish in the 40 Yard Freestyle that earned USD nine points. She was followed in the race by Mallory Paine and Chloe Howell, who placed second and third to add another seven points for San Diego.

Skylar Bruner, Shelby Nicolaisen, and Bethany Garcia also finished first, second, and third in the 300 Yard IM to total 16 more.

USD is back in action on Saturday, October 5, when it travels to Malibu, California for the Pepperdine Invitational.
