SAN DIEGO — Competing for the second day in a row against a crosstown opponent, the San Diego women's swimming and diving team fell short to the San Diego State Aztecs by 117-86 margin on Saturday morning at the Aztec Aquaplex.
USD got a strong performance from Alexandra Ostrom in the 500 yard freestyle, as she won the race with a time of 5:19.95 beating out four other competitors in the event. Elise Sullivan also put together a strong performance on Saturday morning, as she earned a first place finish in the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:27.11.
The Toreros also had a strong combined effort in the 200 yard freestyle relay as the USD A team comprised of Claudia Dumais, Skyler Horder, Katherine Peterson and Gabrielle Zinis won their heat with a time of 1:38.51.

USD swimming and diving will be back in action a week from today as they will host UC San Diego on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 12:00 p.m. from the USD Sports Center Pool.
