USD Men's Golf Earns 2025 NCAA Regional Bid

Toreros are back in the postseason for the fifth consecutive year, seeded seventh at Montreux Golf and Country Club

INDIANAPOLIS — San Diego men's golf has received an at-large selection to the 2025 NCAA Tournament and is headed to the postseason for the fifth consecutive year, the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Committee announced on Wednesday afternoon.

The Toreros will participate in a 54-hole NCAA regional tournament hosted by the University of Nevada at Montreux Golf and Country Club from May 12 through May 14 in which they are seeded seventh. The top five teams and the low individual not on those teams from each NCAA regional will advance to the NCAA finals.

USD heard its name called during the NCAA selection show after a season in which it won three tournaments (the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational, The Prestige, and the Nick Watney Invitational), finished second at two events (the Kapolei Invitational and the R.E.L. Invitational), and earned a third-place finish at two more (the Alister MacKenzie Invitational and the Wyoming Cowboy Classic).

Two Toreros secured All-WCC honors in head coach Evan Emerick's first season at the helm, with Ryan Abuan earning an All-WCC First Team selection alongside an All-WCC Honorable Mention for You Seong Choi.

San Diego has now qualified for the NCAA Tournament in every season since 2020-2021.
