Annika Goodwyn Earns Bronze Medal at World Rowing U23 Championships

POZNAN, Poland –San Diego women's rowing senior Annika Goodwyn has made the most of her summer as she's represented Canada at the 2025 World Rowing Under 23 Championships in Europe.

Goodwyn, a native of Vancouver, British Columbia competed with Canada's Varsity 8+ crew last week at the World Championships as the team put together a tremendous race in the U23 8+ A Final as they came in third place with a time of 06:19.37 to earn the bronze medal.

Her strong summer follows a tremendous third year on campus that saw her earn an All-WCC Team selection and make the WCC-All Academic Team. Goodwyn had numerous highlights with the San Diego 1V8+ crew, starting with a sixth place finish out of 42 competing boats at Head of the Charles Regatta in October, and wrapped it up with a third place finish at the WCC Championships.

Following her strong performance at the World Championships, Goodwyn will continue her international competition schedule as she once again represent Canada at the 2025 Junior Pan American Games in Asuncion, Paraguay beginning on August 9.
