SAN DIEGO — A match-high 24 kills from
Nemo Beach helped San Diego volleyball earn a thrilling comeback victory over Loyola Marymount on Saturday afternoon.
The Toreros (9-4, 2-0 WCC) fell behind 2-0 at the Jenny Craig Pavilion but roared back to life to win three straight sets and prevail 3-2 (14-25, 23-25, 25-21, 25-14, 15-11) over the Lions (3-8, 1-1 WCC).
Kylie Munday notched her sixth double-double of 2025 with a 46-assist, 18-dig performance.
Olivia Bennett anchored the USD defense with 21 digs.
San Diego has now won back-to-back conference matches to begin its 2025 WCC schedule and has come out on top in six of its last seven games dating back to September 13.
The Toreros are back in action on Thursday, when they travel to Moraga, California to take on Saint Mary's. First serve against the Gaels at UCU Pavilion is set for 6:00 p.m.
