LOS ANGELES — San Diego volleyball dropped a 3-1 decision to No. 13 Creighton on Friday evening to begin play in the Trojan Invitational at the Galen Center.
The Bluejays (2-2, 0-0 Big East) won the first two sets by scores of 25-15 and 25-18 before the Toreros (3-1, 0-0 WCC) rallied for a 25-21 win in set three. USD led 6-4 in the fourth and final frame before Creighton closed the match on a 21-9 run.
Isabel Clark hit .244 as she tallied a game-high 16 kills and added 10 digs to notch her first double-double of 2025.
Nemo Beach had 14 kills of her own, and setter
Kylie Munday recorded 24 assists alongside nine digs.
Olivia Bennett and
BayLea Sparks contributed 10 digs and three block assists, respectively.
The Toreros will continue play in the Trojan Invitational tomorrow evening with a matchup against tournament host No. 22 USC. First serve at the Galen Center is set for 7:00 p.m.
