Beavers and Pilots Ahead for Toreros

San Diego heads up north to the Pacific Northwest this weekend to continue WCC Conference play

CORVALLIS, Ore. — San Diego women's basketball is headed to Oregon this weekend to take on Oregon State and Portland.

The Toreros (8-14, 2-7 WCC) will take on the Beavers (15-6, 7-1 WCC) on Thursday evening in a 6:00 p.m. clash at the Gill Coliseum before playing the Pilots (12-8, 5-4 WCC) on Saturday night at 5:00 PM at the Chiles Center.

Both games will be streamed on ESPN+, and live stats will be available on StatBroadcast.

ALL-TIME SERIES AGAINST OREGON STATE & PORTLAND
OREGON STATE: 
• The Toreros are 2-3 against the Beavers all-time. This will be the first matchup between the teams this season.

• USD and Oregon State most recently met on February 22, 2025, when the Toreros suffered a 64-51 loss at the Gill Coliseum.

PORTLAND:
• The Toreros lead the all-time series, 47-36.

• This will be San Diego's first time taking on the Pilots since February 20, 2025, where the Toreros were defeated 81-65 at the Chiles Center.

•USD last beat Portland on February 25, 2023, when it prevailed by a 74-58 margin in the JCP.

• San Diego's most recent victory in Portland was back on February 24, 2022, when it earned a 61-53 victory at the Chiles Center.

LAST TIME OUT: TOREROS PREVAIL OVER THE LIONS
• Kylie Ray had a game-high of 26 points on Saturday night and Eva Ruse delivered her second double-double of the season with 12 points and 12 rebounds. San Diego defeated LMU in a 69-60 victory at the JCP.

• Averaging 17.2 points per game across 22 contests while shooting 37 percent from the field, 36 percent from beyond the arc, and 90 percent from the free throw line. Also leads the Toreros with 49 assists.

• Ranks third in the WCC in PPG and is leading the league in free throw percentage.

• Scored a game-high 26 points on Saturday (January 24) against LMU.

• Grandfather is former UCLA men's basketball head coach Jim Harrick.

Hallie Rhodes | Senior | Guard | Keller, Texas
• Averaging 10.7 PPG and has totaled 70 rebounds, 26 steals, and 14 blocks in 2025-2026.

Olivia Owen | Freshman | Guard | Columbus, Ohio
• Leads USD with 39 steals and 1.90 steals per game in 2025-2026, which ranks sixth among all WCC players and are the most of any freshman in the conference.

Ayla Williams | Freshman | Post | Las Vegas, Nevada
• Is pacing the San Diego defense with 16 blocks so far this season, which ranks 13th in the WCC.

• Was named WCC Freshman of the Week back on December 8 after averaging 13 points and 17 rebounds across a two-game stretch against Binghamton and Utah State.
