SAN BRUNO, Calif. — Exact dates are now set for all 16 of San Diego men's basketball's 2026-27 West Coast Conference games, the WCC announced on Wednesday morning. The matchups had previously been slotted only into weekly windows.
The Toreros open WCC play Saturday, Jan. 2, at Saint Mary's — the first conference game of head coach JR Blount's tenure.
After a Wednesday, Jan. 6, trip to LMU, USD opens WCC home play Saturday, Jan. 9, against Portland at the Jenny Craig Pavilion. That game starts the first of two three-game homestands, with Santa Clara (Jan. 13) and WCC newcomer Denver (Jan. 16) to follow. The second runs Feb. 10-17, as LMU, Seattle U and Pepperdine come to town.
USD faces seven league opponents twice; Saint Mary's (road) and San Francisco (home, Saturday, Jan. 30) are the single meetings. The schedule splits eight home and eight road, all on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with the lone open weekend falling Jan. 23-24.
The Toreros close their home schedule Wednesday, Feb. 24, against Pacific. The regular season ends Saturday, Feb. 27, at Denver, and the WCC Basketball Championships follow March 5-9 at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.
Tip times and broadcast information will be announced at a later date.
