JUNIOR (2009): Played in 18 matches as middle blocker for the Toreros...finished the season with 130 kills hitting at a .287 percentage...recorded double-digit kills in five different matches, with 10 in a win at Long Beach State (8/28/09), 11 in a loss against UC Santa Barbara (9/4/09), 14 in a 3-0 win at Colorado (9/11/09), 11 in a 3-1 win at Denver (9/12/09), and 12 against UC Irvine in a 3-2 victory (9/17/09)...against UC Santa Barbara, she recorded a .474 attack percentage (9/4/09)...recorded a .400 attack percentage at Denver (9/12/09)...recorded a .500 attack percentage at Saint Mary[apos]s (11/14/09)...recorded a .417 attack percentage against Gonzaga in the final game of the season, a 3-0 victory for the Toreros (11/21/09). HIGH SCHOOL: Earned four varsity letters in volleyball while playing at Damonte Ranch High School...took home first-team All-Sierra League honors all four years...named Sierra League MVP as a senior en route to leading her team to the league and state championship...was also a stand-out on the basketball court as she took home first-team All-League honors all four years...also was a member of the Damonte Ranch track team. PERSONAL: Colleen Mary Carlson was born on August 13, 1989...she is the daughter of Joe and Donnalee Carlson...she is the younger sister of the 2006 WCC Player of the Year, Kristen Carlson...comes from a athletic family as her mother was a swimmer at UCLA, her father was a rower at UCLA and her Brother played football at the Virginia Military Institute.
