Junior in 2002: Played in 45 games and 18 matches, including serving as the team[apos]s primary DS in the final six matches of the season... Finished the regular season with 142 digs, a 3.16 average per game which was third highest on the team... Posted a career-high 24 digs vs. regionally ranked San Diego State (10-15-02)... Tallied 21 digs vs. St. Mary[apos]s (10-12-02).

Sophomore in 2001: Appeared in 21 matches and 66 games as a sophomore... Totaled 101 digs playing as a DS... Recorded 12 digs against cross-town rival San Diego State (9-02-01).

Freshman in 2000: Young played in every match as a freshman... Recorded at least one dig in all but one match... Served three aces and totaled nine digs at LMU (9-29).

Prep/Club: Earned First Team All-League and First Team All-CIF honors as a senior... Junior year, named First Team All-League and Second Team All-CIF... Helped lead her team to a CIF Championship and Semi-final State finish in her sophomore campaign... Helped her club volleyball team, Valley Thunder, to an eighth place finish in Davis.

Personal: Psychology major... Chose USD for its campus and volleyball team... Also recruited by the University of Missouri, Kansas City... Ran track in high school and was named MVP in junior season... Parents are Matt and Sue Young... Brynne was born on August 16, 1982 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
