Brett Alderman

Brett Alderman enters his first season with San Diego volleyball in 2022 as a volunteer assistant coach.

He joins the Toreros from nearby UC San Diego, where he served as the Triton men’s volunteer assistant from 2021-2022. For the last 13 years he has also coached at Coast Volleyball Club on both the boys and girls sides.

The Australia native brings a wealth of both international and domestic volleyball experience to Alcala Park, having spent considerable time with the Australian National Team (1995-2011) as both a player and a coach in the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, the 2002 and 2006 World Championships, and seven Asian Championships.

His professional playing career took him to Europe from 2002-2009, and included stops in Italy France, and Turkey

Alderman and his wife, Shannon, have three children and their family loves spending time at the beach.
