San Diego, CA- University of San Diego senior forward Brenna Mullen (San Diego, CA) gathered a long pass from teammate Marie Claude-Henry (St. Hyacinthe, Canada) and drilled a shot past a diving Sun Devil goalkeeper to allow San Diego (6-2-3) a 2-1 double-overtime victory over No. 12 Arizona State (6-2-2). Mullen, who passed out an assist and scored a goal in USD's 2-1 win over Arizona Friday, was mobbed by teammates after netting the winning goal Sunday.

In the game's 36th minute, Arizona State goal keeper Kelly Fitzgerald (Oak Hill, VA) was unable to gather a shot by USD junior Brooke Roby (Poway, CA) and Torero senior Alexis Obeji (Encinitas, CA) headed in her third goal of the season, giving San Diego an early 1-0 advantage.

The Sun Devils got on the scoreboard 12 minutes into the second half when senior Patrice Feuler (St. Charles, Ill.) ricocheted a shot off a Torero defender and then off the right post to even the score at one.

Arizona State out-shot San Diego 8-3 in the second half but Torero goalkeeper Libby Bassett (Seattle WA) held the Sun Devils scoreless throughout the remainder of the second half and the two overtime sessions to allow USD the opportunity to win. Bassett recorded four saves on the afternoon.

San Diego's current home stand continues when the Toreros third-ranked UCLA Tuesday at 7pm.
