LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The USD swim team was in action on the first day of competition at the Arena Invitational on Thursday at East Los Angeles College. The Toreros were led by Keenan Lineback's fifth-place finish in the 500 freestyle championship final where she swam a career-best 4:55.92, while Sarah Reierson turned in a sixth-place showing in the 200 IM championship final with a career-best of her own (2:05.63).
In relay action, the Toreros A relay (Franz, Taylor, Jones, Reierson) took 10th place in the 200 freestyle relay final (1:35.96) and USD's A relay (Reierson, Cohn, Noonan, Taylor) finished ninth in the 400 medley relay (3:54.49).
At the end of the first five women's events, the Toreros sit in eighth place overall with a total of 154 points. Action continues on Friday from East Los Angeles College.
