SAN LUIS OPISPO, Calif. - The USD Softball team (12-12) wrapped up the Mustang Classic by splitting their Sunday doubleheader. In game one, the Toreros late rally fell short as they lost to Southern Utah 4-3, but USD bounced back with an 11-0 win over Bryant in five innings in the second game.

USD responded with three straight singles by Olivia Sandusky, Tatum Schultz, and Mary Grabowski to open up an early 4-0 lead.
USD continued to build on their lead in the fourth inning. With the bases loaded once again, Sierra Berryessa had a RBI infield single, which was followed by a Sandusky two-RBI double to centerfield. USD would add two more in the inning on a groundout and error to give them a 9-0 lead.
USD tacked on two more unearned runs in the fifth to give USD their third game with double-digit runs this season.
