STOCKTON, Calif. -- The No. 19 USD volleyball team (11-4, 4-1) knocked off Pacific 3-2 Thursday evening. The Toreros took the first two sets, but the Tigers rallied to win the next two before USD took care of business in the fifth set. Jayden Kennedy had 19 kills, one off her career-high, to help lead the Toreros to a 25-20, 30-28, 21-25, 21-25, 15-5 win.

As a team, the Toreros hit .213 while the Tigers had a hitting percentage of .199. USD had 65 digs to the Tigers 53, but Pacific out-blocked USD 16-14. Their 65 digs and 14 blocks were season-highs for the Toreros.

Aside from Kennedy's 19 kills, Lauren Fuller had a season-high 16. Freshman Roxie Wiblin notched her first career double-double with 10 kills and 11 digs. Kristen Gengenbacher also had a double-double with 52 assists and a season-high 18 digs. Lizzy Tardieu contributed 17 digs and Kaity Edwards chipped in nine kills and seven block assists.

After the Toreros won the first set 25-21, the Tigers put the pressure on the Toreros. USD faced three set points in the second set before ultimately winning 30-28; this turned out to be a crucial win as the Tigers won the next two sets. The Tigers hit .444 in the third set while USD hit just .154. In the fourth set, USD struggled again, hitting .095.

The Toreros shook it off and dominated the fifth and final set, hitting .389 with just one error and holding the Tigers to a hitting percentage of -.105.
