SAN DIEGO - Jayden Kennedy registered 15 kills and hit .522 to lead No. 13 San Diego to a dominating 3-0 victory against Pacific on Saturday afternoon at the Jenny Craig Pavilion.

Kennedy led an efficient and balanced Toreros (19-4, 12-1 WCC) attack that hit .337 on the day with seven players registering at least one kill.

It is USD's ninth straight victory and 15th sweep of the season. The Toreros have won 25-of-28 sets during the winning streak.

Lauren Fuller had a big day, racking up 12 kills, six digs and a block. Roxie Wiblin and Kaity Edwards chipped in seven kills apiece. Kristen Gengenbacher set USD up for success with a team-high 36 assists.

Lizzy Tardieu hit double-digits in digs for the 20th time in 23 matches this season, contributing a team-best 11. Merve Tanyel added seven digs and three kills to the effort.

Jayden Kennedy led the Toreros with 15 kills and a .522 hitting percentage.

The Tigers (12-13, 7-8 WCC) scored the first point of the day but that was the only lead Pacific would hold all match. USD came out swinging and jumped out to a 9-4 lead in the first set.

Fuller caught fire early and went 6-for-6 on kills to pace the offensive effort. The Tigers rallied toward the end of the first set to cut the Toreros lead to 24-21 but Kennedy finished the set with a kill to put the Toreros up, 1-0.

It was more of the same for USD in the second set as the Toreros jumped out to a 7-1 advantage. USD led by at least three points throughout the remainder of the set and closed it out on an 8-2 run. The Toreros won the set, 25-12, and took a 2-0 lead into the break.

The intermission did not cool off USD as the Toreros returned to the court and reeled off a 5-0 run to start the third set and forced a timeout by Pacific.

The Tigers closed its deficit to 11-8 and 20-17 but that was as close as Pacific would get. Kaity Edwards hammered her seventh kill of the day to secure a 25-20 third-set victory and a 3-0 sweep for the Toreros.

USD will look to continue its momentum next weekend when it travels to Portland and Gonzaga.
