LAST TIME OUT
- A strong defensive performance by San Diego helped the Toreros outlast Drake, 27-10, to remain undefeated.

- In a cold and rainy contest, the Toreros (7-2, 6-0 PFL) defense came up big, forcing several key turnovers and keeping the Bulldog (5-3, 4-2 PFL) offense out of the end zone all afternoon.

- Nick Friedel led the defense with eight tackles (5.0 solo), two sacks, one forced fumble and a pass break-up. He was joined in the backfield by Jacob Bergstrom (2.0 sacks), Jake Wittwer (1.5 sacks) and Myles Wilson (0.5 sacks).

- Friedel was named the PFL Defensive Player of the Week for his standout performance.

- Anthony Lawrence played well despite the wet conditions, completing 21 of his 32 passes for 227 yards and a touchdown. With the unfavorable weather conditions, Lawrence used his legs to generate additional offense and rushed for two scores. It was the first time in Lawrence's career he rushed for two touchdowns in the same game.

- Emilio Martinez led the attack on the ground, rushing for 89 yards and averaging 7.4 yards per carry.

- Michael Bandy had five receptions for 70 yards and a touchdown to lead all receivers. Michael Armstead had four receptions for 69 yards. Both receivers had at least one reception of over 40 yards.
