SAN DIEGO – San Diego's offense found its rhythm and dominated in a 3-0 victory over Pacific on Saturday afternoon.

An augmented lineup and a .408 hitting percentage helped the Toreros (4-7) sweep the Tigers (5-8) and notch their first win of conference play (1-1).Â

Roxie Wiblin got the start at opposite for the Toreros and freshman
Katie Lukes was added to the mix at the outside hitter position. Lukes had 7 kills and a block in the match, while Wiblin added six kills and one block.

The Toreros were efficient to start the match, with a whopping .593 hitting percentage, to Pacific's .179. After trading points early, USD rattled off five straight, including a kill by
Lauren Fuller to make it 17-10 and the Toreros never gave up the lead again. They took set one 25-17.

In set two, the teams went back and forth with the Tigers holding the advantage. A kill by Lukes put the Toreros up by two, 16-14, before
Hannah Patrick and
Megan Jacobsen combined for a huge block to swing the momentum in the Toreros' favor. They maintained the lead for the remainder of the set, winning 25-22.Â

San Diego pulled out to an early, 5-0, lead in the final set, and Fuller dominated on offense, recording six of her team-high 13 kills to lead the Toreros to a 25-19 victory and the match sweep.

USD's offense was paced by seniors
Addie Picha and Fuller who each reached double-digit kills. Picha hit .471 in the match, while Fuller hit .393.Â

Payton Douglass got the start at libero for the Toreros and lead the defense with 19 digs. The Toreros combined for eight team blocks, including two solo blocks from Picha.Â

The Toreros are back in action Tuesday when they travel north to take on Loyola Marymount at 7 p.m.
