SAN DIEGO – No. 23 San Diego men's soccer, coming off back-to-back conference losses, looks to get back to its winning ways when it hosts LMU on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Torero Stadium.
The Toreros (10-3-1, 1-2 WCC), nationally-ranked for the fifth week in a row, lost their most recent game last Saturday against Gonzaga to fall to 1-2 in conference. Since scoring four goals in three straight games from October 4 to 17, USD has scored one goal in the last two games. They still rank second in the conference in goals this season, however.
LMU, which received on vote in this week's top-25, is tied for the top spot in the WCC with an unblemished record so far. They enter Wednesday having won their last two games in overtime, first vs. Portland on Oct. 19 and then at Pacific on October 26. All three of the Lions' conference wins have come after regulation ended.
