SAN DIEGO – San Diego men's soccer will close out its home schedule on Saturday against Portland with its eyes still looking to secure a spot in the Men's Soccer Championship bracket.
The Toreros (10-5-1, 1-4 WCC), who fell out of the top-25 rankings this week but are still receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches poll, host the Pilots (9-5-1, 3-2 WCC) in a 7 p.m. game that will also be Senior Night.
USD has lost four straight entering the weekend, including last weekend at Pacific. Over the stretch, the Toreros have only scored more than one goal once.
The Pilots arrive in San Diego on a four-game winning streak, with all four victories occurring at home. The last time they played on the road was October 19 at LMU, a game which they lost in overtime, 2-1. Portland has only played four road games this season, where it holds a 1-3 record.
