 SAN DIEGO—San Diego will travel to Long Beach State and Arizona State for its first road trip of the season.

After a successful opening homestand, where the Toreros (3-0) swept Wagner, USD will travel north to take on the Dirtbags (0-3) on Tuesday at 6 p.m. PT before heading to Tempe, Ariz. to face the Sun Devils (3-0) on Wednesday at 6 p.m. PT.

LAST TIME OUT
• The Toreros swept Wagner at Fowler Park to open up the 2019 season. USD came out of the gate red-hot, in a 14-0 one-hit shutout on Friday evening. The Toreros collected 16 hits from 11 different players including four freshmen and the USD pitching staff held the Seahawks to a single hit, recording 12 strikeouts on Friday afternoon at Fowler Park.

Chris Murphy got the start for San Diego, going 5.0 innings, striking out six batters, walking five and allowing only one hit.Â

• The Torero bullpen was dominant in relief of Murphy. The combination of

Nicola Mislinski retired 11 batters in-a-row down the stretch and combined for six strikeouts to shutout the Seahawks.

Cody Jefferis made his first start for the Toreros at shortstop and went 3-for-5 including a double and one RBI.

Ripken Reyes also had a big night, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and a stolen base. Reyes began the flood of USD runs with a 2-RBI triple to center field in the bottom of the second inning.

• Due to weather, the Toreros played a double-header on Saturday, winning the first game 15-9 and taking the second, 3-1.

Grady Miller got the start for the Toreros in game one, pitching 5.0 innings with three strikeouts, two walks and allowing 7 hits, 2 runs.

• The Toreros did the majority of their damage in the second (6 runs) and sixth innings (5 runs).

Cody Jefferis finished 2-for-5 with a double and three RBI.Â

Paul Kunst scored a two-run home run, the Toreros' first of the season and five Toreros recorded multi-hit games.

Josh Hendrickson got the start, going 6.0 innings allowing five hits and finishing with five strikeouts and no walks.

• San Diego scored one run in the third and two in the fifth to hold a 3-0 lead heading into the ninth. Wagner threatened to take the lead after scoring one run and loading the bases, but San Diego held on for the win, 3-1.

Tora Otsuka had a big game for the Toreros, going 3-for-3 with a double, a home run and batting in all three of San Diego's runs.Â

ALL-TIME SERIES AGAINST LONG BEACH STATE
• The all-time series is tied 37-37-1 between the Toreros and the Dirtbags. The teams last met in 2017 with a game that ended in a 9-9 tie.Â

• The game was called after the tenth inning due to a predetermined curfew, which states that no new inning may begin after 10:30 p.m. It was the first time a game was called early due to a curfew in Fowler Park's five-year history.
