 SAN DIEGO—San Diego will return home for the final two games of the regular season against Santa Clara and San Francisco this weekend.

The Toreros (8-19, 1-15 WCC) will play host to the Broncos (12-15, 5-11 WCC) on Thursday at 6 p.m. for the annual Pink Game. Tickets are $1 and USD will be accepting donations benefiting Play 4 Kay. On Saturday the Toreros will celebrate senior
Sydney Shepard prior to facing the Dons (6-21, 2-14 WCC)Â at 2 p.m. for Senior Day.

LAST TIME OUT
•
Patricia Brossmann scored a career-high 24 points but San Diego could not keep up with the BYU offense in an 80-68 loss on Saturday afternoon.

•The Toreros kept pace with the Cougars early, before BYU went on a 9-0 run to end the first half to build a comfortable lead. USD made a late run in the fourth quarter but was not able to complete the comeback.

•Brossmann recorded her ninth double-double of the season, collecting 11 rebounds in addition to her game-high 24 points. The junior forward hit 3-of-5 from three-point range and was a perfect 7-of-7 from the free throw line.
•San Diego had three other players reach double-digit scoring.
Leticia Soares finished with 19 points while
Madison Pollock and
Kiera Oakry added 10 points each. Oakry led the Toreros with four assists and
Sydney Hunter collected two steals in the contest.

•BYU opened with three 3-pointers to start the contest, stretching their lead to 11, but six points from Soares and a 3-pointer from Pollock kept the Cougars within reach. The Toreros trailed 15-19 at the end of the first period.

•Brossmann scored 10 of the Toreros 18 points in the third quarter including two 3-pointers, but the Cougars extended their lead to 20, leading 64-44 heading into the fourth. The Toreros outscored BYU, 16-4 in the final six minutes but the deficit proved too much to overcome.

ALL-TIME SERIES AGAINST SANTA CLARA
• The Toreros lead the all-time series 41-34 over the Broncos. USD collected its only conference win over SCU earlier this season with a 57-49 comeback victory on Dec. 31.Â

•After falling behind 37-21 at halftime, the Toreros outscored the Broncos, 36-12 in the second half to secure the win. Brossmann recorded a double-double, finishing with 14 points and 12 rebounds while Shepard finished with a team-high 15 points including four 3-pointers.

ALL-TIME SERIES AGAINST SAN FRANCISCO
• The Toreros hold a 39-32 advantage over the Dons in the all-time series. USF won the first matchup this season, 67-58. Pollock recorded a team-high 20 points and 11 rebounds for her first double-double of the season while Brossmann added 13 points and
Sydney Hunter matched Pollock with 11 rebounds.

• San Diego suffered multiple injuries at the midpoint this season and is currently without starting guard
Myah Pace, as well as
Ana Ramos and Karla Martínez. This is in addition to season-ending injuries suffered by
Kat Olczak,
Nicole Blakes and
Kendall Bird early in the season.

Patricia Brossmann leads the team in points (11.3 avg), rebounds (7.5 avg), steals (1.3 avg) and has a team-high nine double-doubles this season which ranks second in the WCC. Brossmann currently ranks sixth in the WCC in rebounding and second in offensive rebounds (3.0 avg). She also ranks ninth in field-goal percentage (49.6).

Madison Pollock is currently averaging 10.9 points per game which ranks second for the Toreros and is also second on the team in rebounds, averaging 5.9 per game to rank 13th in the conference.

Sydney Shepard leads the Toreros from beyond the arc with a 31.4 three-point field-goal percentage, averaging 1.8 per game to rank seventh in the WCC. Shepard also leads the team in assists, averaging 3.5 per game to rank 12th in the conference.Â
