SAN DIEGO – San Diego will play a midweek game at UNLV before heading to UC Riverside this weekend for four games at the Highlander Classic.

The Toreros (7-11) open the week with a 1 p.m. PT matchup against the Rebels (14-4) on Thursday. USD then returns to California for four games at UC Riverside on Friday through Sunday.

USD will play 9 a.m. games against Nebraska-Omaha on Friday and Saturday, take on Houston on Saturday at 11:30 a.m., and conclude the weekend on Sunday at 2 p.m. against UC Riverside.

The Toreros went 2-2 this past weekend during a rain-shortened San Diego Classic. USD earned victories against Weber State and Florida Gulf Coast on Friday but dropped a pair of contests on Sunday against FGCU and UC Davis.

Sara Silveyra leads the Toreros offensively on the season, batting .413 with 10 RBIs and seven doubles.
Taylor Spence has a team-best 22 hits and is batting .407. She is followed by
Lindsay Clare (.407) and
Madison Casiano (.318).

Madison Earnshaw (3-5) and
Delaney Heller (4-4) have shouldered a majority of the load in the circle this season, combining for 80 1/3 innings of a possible 115 1/3 innings. Earnshaw has racked up 46 strikeouts in 43.0 innings, while Heller has produced 30 in 37 1/3 innings.
